Wulfpipe™ Ford Mustang GT Coupé / Convertible 5.0 V8 MK6
The Wulfpipe™ Ford Mustang GT 5.0 V8 MK6 Valvetronic Cat-Back Exhaust System (2015–2017) is a precision-engineered performance system developed to unlock the full character of Ford’s legendary naturally aspirated 5.0L Coyote V8 platform. Designed and fabricated entirely in-house, this complete system features Wulfpipe™ Sports Catted Downpipes, H-Pipe, Rear Pipes and retains the factory OEM Active Valve Mufflers, combining improved exhaust flow with fully controlled sound management while preserving factory functionality.
With the valves closed, the system delivers a refined, composed exhaust note suitable for everyday driving and long-distance touring. Open the valves, and the Mustang transforms - unleashing the unmistakable soundtrack of the naturally aspirated Coyote V8 with greater depth, volume and presence. The combination of the sports catted downpipes and H-pipe produces a deeper, more muscular tone while reducing unwanted drone, allowing the driver to enjoy an authentic V8 experience without compromising everyday comfort.
Engineered for improved exhaust flow and reduced restriction, the Wulfpipe™ Valvetronic Cat-Back System enhances throttle response, engine breathing and overall efficiency while maintaining the drivability and reliability expected from the Mustang GT platform. The lightweight stainless steel construction also offers a reduction in exhaust system weight compared to the factory setup. When paired with a Wulf™ Performance Software Pack, the combination allows hardware and software to work together as a balanced performance solution, supporting improved throttle response, sharper power delivery and enhanced engine flexibility while fully complementing the increased exhaust flow.
Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel and developed specifically for South African operating conditions, the system is built to withstand heat, load and long-term use. Precision fitment ensures seamless integration with the factory architecture while retaining the OEM Active Valve Mufflers, delivering factory-level refinement with significantly enhanced performance and sound.

FAQs
Will upgrading my software or hardware void my vehicle’s warranty?
Vehicle warranties are not automatically voided by software or hardware upgrades. However, a manufacturer may decline a specific claim if a failure can be directly linked to aftermarket ECU or TCU software, or to installed hardware modifications. For added peace of mind, many owners choose to return their vehicle to its original software configuration prior to dealer servicing. While this may reduce risk, it does not guarantee invisibility. All calibrations are developed within engineered safety margins, but responsible ownership is always advised.
Will fuel economy improve after tuning?
In many cases, yes - particularly under normal driving conditions. Optimised ECU software improves torque delivery and overall engine efficiency. Because the engine produces more usable torque at lower RPM, less throttle input is often required to maintain speed. This can result in improved fuel consumption during everyday driving. However, increased performance often encourages more spirited driving - and fuel economy will naturally reflect that.
Why do turbocharged vehicles see larger performance gains?
Turbocharged engines respond exceptionally well to software optimisation because boost pressure, fuelling, and ignition timing are electronically controlled. By refining these parameters within safe operating tolerances, significant gains in power and torque can be achieved without mechanical changes. Naturally aspirated engines offer smaller improvements because they are not boost-assisted and have fewer adjustable performance variables. This is why modern turbocharged platforms typically deliver the most noticeable and cost-effective performance gains.
